Guardian Alarm Employees Collect Christmas Gifts For Needy Children
Southfield, MI - For the second year in a row, Guardian Alarm employees decorated shoeboxes and filled them with clothes, candy, school supplies and other items that will be shipped to needy children throughout the world as part of the Operation Christmas Child program from Samaritan's Purse charitable organization.
"We collected gifts as a group last year and it went so well we just had to do it again this year," explained Joey Ritz, manager of Guardian Alarm's Sales and Installation Administration team. She continues, "We have so many caring people here that I knew we could collect a lot of boxes."
A total of 24 boxes were packed, labeled and prepped for drop off. Each box is geared toward a specific age (from 2 to 14) and sex, and can be tracked so that the giver knows exactly where their donation is sent. For more information on this program, visit samaritanspurse.org.
